What have they done that makes them great?

It's hard trying to think of genuinely good leaders who didn't 'go bad' and take it too far. I've got about 5. (and no religious answers please)

America did not dis-arm all their ICBM's, and never will, there are thousands in silos across the US. Russia still has thousands for sale, though they arent in good condition. Those who say Reagan were generally children during his presidency and knew no other for 8 years. His economics were that if you make the rich super-rich, they will bend down eventually and offer the lowly folks more. (trickle-down-economics). Lol, set wages back a decade. And he invaded a lil country full of rich-American resort homes owned by actors, news anchors, and , of course, politicians, all tax-free being out-of-country 'investments', because the local government wanted to benefit fairly from these people. "God Bless America", eh Ronnie?

George Washington - Gave up the throne that was offered him. Not to mention that he was the first leader into what would become one of the greatest countries in history. He set into motion much of what still makes America great.

Abraham Lincoln - Led a nation at war with itself to a peaceful conflict, while abolishing slavery in the process.

Winston Churchill - Held Brittian together during the worst war the world had ever seen, much of it in their own back yard. His actions had as much to do with the defeat of Nazi Germany as any.

Ronald Reagan - Reagan was able to get the USSR and the USA to agree to disarm all nuclear ICBMs. He was also probably more responsible than any one person in the Soviet Union for its eventual collapse! Few leaders have ever done more for the lives of those that are not even citizens of his own country.

Augustus Ceasar - Not only the leader of one of the greatest nations ever to exist, but was one of the only leaders that ever conquered with respect for those conquered. Many lands were still allowed to govern themselves for the most part, and there were even opportunities for these individuals to become Roman citizens - gaining many more rights and freedoms than they already enjoyed.

Adolf Hitler - One of the worst men, but an amazing "political leader." Few men have ever been able to get so many people to follow their leadership, especially considering that Hitler's ideals were vastly different than those of his country men.
