The most wonderfully consistent, best pepper steak in the country is not in a big city!
It comes out of a small French owned bistro in a little provincial town, called Coron, on Busuanga Island, Northern Palawan.
Bruno's Bistro has served not only the pepperiest (is that a word?) sauce for the last 3 years, but also has the tenderest steak slices, and his fries are the same as you would find in a good resto in France.
The other worthwhile note here, is that the whole dish only costs 250 pesos!!
If anyone cares to go there and try this finding, you're welcome, and if you don't like it then I'll pay!!????
By the way, all of the dishes on his menu are ALWAYS perfect.
I'm not in this for commissions, I just love it when a guy can produce perfect French cuisine without everybody being charged super high prices.
His Pizzas' are also unbelievable at 140 pesos for an 18 inch base which gives me three meals!
He's also the only restaurant listed for here in the new Lonely Planet guide to the Philippines.
Enjoy.............
