they probably knew the person much more better than you can see... give it sometime, don't rush into it. get to know the person more in depth..

Basically there is nothing wrong to get married with the person you loved. But We need more details on why your parents don't agree to the marriage. I believe that most parents want the best for their children and to your parent they may feel that you deserved a better future. Do have a talk with them to understand their concern and let them know how you feel too

I think they have "a little more information" on her than we here do. I think you know the reason too, that is why you didn't write anything here. So let's take it this way - If you know the reason why you should not marry her but still want to marry her, forget about what your parents say, it's your decision, your life and nobody else has right to tell you how to live as long as you are grown up.

Find out the reasons, your parent disagreed with this marriage. Maybe because of race, religion; etc. Do consider their feelings and end of the day the decision still have to be made by yourself.Think carefully and hope you can make the right choice.

Sounds like you are trying to justify the union.
Get married with the person that you loved, huh? Of course anybody wants to get married to the person that they love(d), but does that mean it is right? Does that mean it is good? Does that mean that you just go ahead and do it?
Sometimes when you truly love someone, you'll let them go.

how old are you?
maybe you're too young to get married.

what your bf do for living?
you know, they kept saying about girls being materialistic and all.
but hey, everything needs money!
you have to even pay for the public toilet here in Malaysia!

you have to bare in mind that if you do want to get married, you have lots and tons of responsibilities waiting for you.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea, it's good that you're thinking of settling down, but maybe you're just not ready for this yet.

you know, trust your parents when they disapprove you, cuz they've been raising you up all this while and they know how much it takes to pay for all of your necessities.

as for me; if my parents say no, I'd say no too! especially in this matter as they are well experience in such issue!trust me!

maybe they had their own reasons.. reasons that they also finds it hard to open it to you... conversation would really help a lot... or may be they see somehing about the guy that you didn't see... trust me parents knows best... but if you had this strong feeling that you eally cant live without this guy and that you wanted him so bad and you can't see your future without him.. i had an advice for you i came from a very conservative and cultured chinese family we always seek for advise from the 'real' match makers and they never make mistakes trust me... try to match your names and try to ask them what will be your future... example ask them if your gonna last? would you suffer in the future? etc. trust me its super effective

First of all, how old are you?

Secondly, you parents have been around much longer than you so maybe you should sit down with them and find out why they disagree.

Not at all. You should do what makes you happy, and if you love your partner, then go for it. Life is to short to sit and wonder.
