Yes nuclear family is better than Joint family. But this does not mean we break relations with our family members. Some how we know that two women, whether it be sas, nanand, devrani , jedhani or even sisters , they just can't go along together, this is nature of women which nobody can change, Even if one is good , the other won't be. so in order to avoid all this bitterness, it is better to have separate kitchen's right from the beginning so that later on we don have to spoil relationships. Even we must notice that today's women does not have that same strength to bear the burden of joint family, which our grandmother's had.........so it is better to have small family and healthy relationships.

For Indian culture, joint family is best suted. Unfortunately, it is on the decline. It is very rare to find one nowadays. Children grown in joint families learn more quickly to be on their one. When there is some urgent work at home, there are people to take care. Expenses are shared. Even the supposely negative factor like privacy can be tackled, if you are at a big house.

i think in this new generation nuclear family is better than joint one.
In india most families are joint and they are suffering from so many troubles as there is problem of earning,few members are earning and others depend on them.
Thus it may cretae some internal war between them.
I have seen a no. of families like these.
In nuclear family,size of family is small,less friction between the members.
Less interference of other members in each others personal life in nuclear family.
As in the modern world,it has some drawbacks also.
If you are living in joint family,you will be able to in touch with your culture,as there will be other old people in your family,who teaches you about tradition from time to time.
But in nuclear family,every member is busy in itself and no direct link with other members,so they will not teach anything regarding thier culture.
but i want to say that nuclear family is best. If a person want to learn something about his culture he can learn anywhere.

Nuclear family is better as the present generation thoughts , working style are not much accepted by the previous gen people.This may lead to tension at work field if the present is now and then being stopped by the elders say for e.g return home before it turns night where the job is a night shift job .I hope understood.

both has its own advantages n disadvantages.........n joint family is the best if the other members in the family are nice n not selfish n neither greedy which is tough to find these days........so nuclear family ROX
