Most certainly it will work. This is the era of Information Technology Revolution. Have your fathers or their fathers ever dreamt of watching News sitting cosily at home, or talking with friends and relations from their bed rooms ? These are the miracles of the Chip. At the beginning the Computers, Cell phones, T.Vs. were very costly and beyond the reach of common man. Now they are cheaply available and they would become more cheaper. Now many a multinational companies are coming forward to bridge the gap between rural and urban areas and they are providing Computer Booths with all facilities in villages. Computerisation saves a lot of labourand paper work. Internet will be the backbone of a growing nation.Get yourself and your family acquainted with Computers, Internet, E.Mails and let them enjoy life. God bless you.

E governance will be succesful only if the people in government offices are first taught with the basic computer knowledge.In some banks they take about 15 minutes to make a transaction.it is due to their computer illiteracy.If they face some small problems also they are forced to stop their work and work interrupts.
And other fact is people should be aware of e governance and know how to tackle with it.
without that it will be a mere improvenment in the IT infrastructure not in the work efficiency or quicker processing of documents

In government offices computers wont work because If computer works the babu will have to work . In any case nerly half year is leave for the government servants They have only to ensure that th computer is out of order on working days.

"Computerization in govt." - may its aim would be nice, but question is that it will gives NEW WEAPONS in to old (mostly TOTALLY UN-Enthusiastic to new tech) hands.

They will not either capabilities to handle hi-tech recourses or you can say they don't have corporate ATTITUDE.

So, it is as same as following scenario of railway ticket booking window:

"Before few years, you had to stay in long line due to there is only one man that manual wending tickets manually. and now you have to stay in same line as their SERVER got down several times, and they DONT know, HOW TO DEAL WITH it... "

E governance even though may appear to be difficult in the initial stages, it is bound to stay.

it will definitely work. filing system becomes so much easier & less cumbersome too. effort would be less & productivity more. we can see the way indian railways is progressing as an example. just be patient & do not write it down. we always are so prompt with our criticism but do we praise liberally too?
