well mythology speaks of adam as the first human on this planet. hence the answer is man. eve was supposed to be fashioned from adam's rib. so probably she came later!

Is this a biblical question or an evolutionary one?
If biblical then man (Adam) coz everyone knows that man was the rough copy and woman (Lilith, NOT Eve) was the perfected final draft.
If evolutionary then no-one can tell if it was the male or the female that was first classified as Homo sapiens since the lineages and boundaries are kinda blur.

According to QURAN man was first created (I DON'T MEAN EARTH HERE), then woman,but that was in paradise, they were living together in heaven,woman was created from man, (ADAM), so at the heaven they man was created first, then woman, but you are asking about , who appeared first on earth, i say they were both sent to earth together at the same time, after they commit the sin, coz they had eaten from the forbidden three, that was cozed by the devil,
so Allah sent them to earth as a punishment, but later Adam repented to Allah to Allah accepted, and asked them never follow the devil's path, and they did,

Man first, and then God made woman by taking a rib from Adam and made Eve, and that is where the saying "Wo man" came from. (Just kidding) but, women do have one more rib, and the Bible says this is the way, so I believe God's way first.

Thats like saying which came first the chicken or the egg...if you follow creationalism...it was the man...Adam...if you lean towards evolutionary theories then we were probably a-sexual before we devoloped male and female genders...or something like that..
