This is the first time ever happened! About a month ago, I started retracting the foreskin on my penis. I was able to pull it over the head, but it was really tight, and my head was sensitive. So I told my doctor, and he told me to use vaseline cream - to help with easy retraction and also to use vitamin A&D cream to help desesitize the penis head. So now I've been using both creams twice a day. Like in the morning and at night. I did't have any problems for two days, but today when I looked at my penis, it looked wierd, because usually I can see part of the head even when in flaccid state. but now the foreskin that is covered over the head is swelled up. I don't know what to do now. Is it because of using too much cream...? Or is it suppose to happen at first when using the cream...? or is the foreskin loosenin up?... I'm a little worried and confused.
Thanks guys!

Hey Nick
Seems from your questions you are having some penis problems related to a tight foreskin and a sensitive glans/head. And just so you know the two are related in that when the head is always covered it does nto get any exposure to friction or soaps or anythig thus it retains it's extreme sensitivity, which at times can even be uncomfortable or painful.
However, once you get your foreskin loosened up and easily retractable, then you will find yoru head is more open and gradually becomes less sensitive. Also, with use (masturbation or sex) it will desensitize as well.
So, first thing to discuss is the swellling. This may be a result of is an allergic reaction to the creams you are using. While they may work well for some guys, on others thare can be side effects. Swellign of the foreskin also can occur if you abuse it through too much masturbation - either too many sessions or the sessions are to long. So, to start go wash your penis thoroughly wiht a really mild unscneted soap, rinse off all the soap residue and then dry the shaft, head and under the foreskin really well. If a towel hurts, just air dry before you put on any clothes. Also, for the next couple days, don't use the vaseline or the creams and avoid masturbation. If the swelling goes down you are fine; it it persists then take the creams, vaseline and your penis back and let the doctor check it out.
Once the swelling is gone, then resume your foreskin stretching so as to loosen it up to be able to retract fully when flaccid or erect. And always keep all of the genital area very clean and dry. So take a daily shower plus shower immedicatly after playing a sport or any sweaty activity.
Once the foreskin retracts then deal with the sensitivity issue. Although I suspect with the handling to stretch it, regular penis cleaning and daily masturbation, the sensitivity will diminish quite a bit on it's own as the foreskin loosens up. But in case it needs a little help to not hurt, then resume the use of the creams but only one at a time so if the allergic reaction recurs, you can identify the culprit.
Anyway, relax, there's nothing serious wrong with a foreskin that swells up some. It's symptom of a little problem that is easy to overcome. And in this case I do suspect it is one of the ingredients in one of the creams doign the nasty to you and probably cleaning up any residue, taking a break and probably switching brands will do the trick. Take your time, figure it out and then do what is necessary to reduce the swelling, stretch your foreskin and thus lose that super-sensitivity.

You're lucky that you have a foreskin, which is a necessary and integral part of a complete penis that gives you complete sexual sensitivity and function. Yes, probably it is from "hard masturbation" as you put it, if you're doing it too hard, of course it will have consequences. There's nothing wrong with masturbation, but do it gently; your penis is a living part of your body, and can bruise or be injured from rough treatment, just as any other part. Don't let anyone talk you into the mutilation of circumcision. Amputation of the foreskin diminishes sexual sensitivity, sexual function, and also the size of the penis. Circumcision is the worst hoax ever perpetrated on the male sex. A foreskin is not a birth defect; it is a birthright. ERIC

You really should consider getting circumcised to solve your distressing problem once and for all. The foreskin is a useless, troublesome, smelly flap of redundant skin and you are far better off without it! The benefits of circumcision include hygiene, comfort, appearance, self-esteem and FAR, FAR better sex for you and your partner. Don't listen to the anti-circ idiots who tell you that a foreskin is wonderful - it's rubbish and belongs in the hospital trashcan.
