For example, you get the same old story "my child hood.....blah blah that’s why i steal" or people from council estates complaining they have no prospects but they won't get a job etc???

I was just wondering, i feel people don't take responsibility for their actions.

I don't think they even get as far as excuses these days ...
sad but true a little self examination and self improvement could make the world a much better place to live. yes I agree
personal responsibility is much needed and of tremendous value.

Well, not everyone does that. The people who do refuse to believe that they did wrong. There are a lot of people like that ( i.e. my mother ).

true dat. society has a basis for blaming the other guy when the consequences are severe, which they usually are.
