Never stay in a job you're not happy in. It's hard enough going to work everyday and thats a forever thing, But I would start looking in a field you enjoy and make that your goal. Then quite your job. When you are happy in you job you usually excel. Good luck.

How long have you been in the job? Did it occur to you why you don't know what your boss want from you? Basically it is your decision whether you should stay on the job or not. However if you start to drag yourself to work, then it is time for you to consider a career change. You could look into areas of your expertise while looking for new job
All the best to you

You have to make a job yours. You do this by working through the difficulties. Of those you've described, I'd suggest you encourage your boss's communication skills. Be pleasant even when the situation isn't. Happy people are infectious and a pleasure to be around. It wouldn't hurt to pick up the tools and start trying on your own. Show initiative, and the people around you, the genuinely friendly people will help you.

Don't quit your current job unless you have another in the works. In the meantime you sound like a normal person.

It depends on yourself, though. If I were you, I would not quit the job. I would try to find the interesting part of it and enjoy it. If you can't find any interesting part, just leave it (your thought) and concentrate. You would soon get used to it. You didn't enjoy it because you are not used to the environment and the job itself. OK?

Don't limit yourself to this one "job". Post a resume, check the classifieds, there is something better out there. It will not come to you, you have to go to it. LEAVE!!!!!!

if you are not badly in need of money, it is better to leave that job as you don't get either job satisfaction or career growth.
