My baby is 9 months old and I have not had a period AT ALL yet! With my first one I bled for the first six months every single day. My doctor was worried and I went to 4 or 5 specialists but eventually it just quit. So I am assuming this time I will just start. Babies can do strange things to our bodies.. not too mention what the lack of sleep can do.

Since you are using a IUD, it is most likely what is giving you the irregular periods. But it does take awhile for some women to get back to regular periods, if at all after childbirth.
If your IUD is in correctly, you shouldn't get pregnant. But never say never.
