put it on a dvd and send it through the mail or hand it to him
other than that if you are close you can transfer it onto a portable hardrive or an mp3 player big enough to hold that and do it that way
also if its possible you can somehow break the file in two... this way you can burn half on one CD and the other half on the other... depending on what it is like a movie you can do that with some simple editing... as far as sending through the internet you could probably share it on LimeWire if you both have that... you can make it available and if you both have a tolerable connection you can get it done pretty quick.
Simply tell him the exact name of the file and watch him upload it... if anyone else tries to upload from you kick them off (just not your friend) LOL... oh I forgot to mention to make this easier do not share any other files just the one you want your friend to get
those are all ways that will work probably something I didn't think of but try one of those! good luck

I think you can send a file that big by doing a file transfer through yahoo messenger but it will take a long time
