We've been together for over 3 years and have talked about marriage for a while now and I want to drop hints that I'm ready for that next step in my life. Girls, how many of you have proposed to your man? I've thought about it but I kinda want the "fairy tale" of him doing it. Should I leave bridal magizines around or is that kind of cheesy? I don't want to say,"I'm ready now" and have him do it right then and there. I still want the proposal to be a surprise when he does do it, I just want to leave hints I'm ready now.

My boyfriend is ready. He said it from the first time we talked about it. He's been waiting for me to finish school and I wanted to work abroad for a bit, which I did.

Honey don't do the hint thing because men do not understand what a hint is. You should really sit down and talk to him. Be honest with him and tell him that the two of you have talked about this and that you ready to take the relationship to the next level if he is. Well maybe not in those words but you get what I am saying. Good luck and I hope that it all work out for the best.

Okay I wouldn't leave magazines lying around, and as you don't want to do it yourself, although I think that if a girl asks that is good. But if I were you, just start talking about weddings and you could even say that a co-worker is planning to ask his girlfriend to marry him and he was asking around as to how he should do it, then say if I wee him I would ask this way. Then just leave it like that, then a week or so later you could casually say remember when I told you about my co-worker how you would do it, then smile. Then leave it at that, you don't want to hint too much, just enough to give him to catch on. Then the rest is up to him

i am happy for the two of you. i am assuming he has never been married before. you could read like one of those online horoscopes that give insight like scorp guy cancer girl to get some possible insight. as nice as the traditional man proposing thing goes don't be at all afraid to bring it up. at times some couples play games with other the same way they play games with saying i love you. no one wants to say it. or they want the other to say it first so they will feel one up then act as a suprise when it is said. if he does ask you, don't say well can i think about it. say yes immediately and smile act happy and the like.

Drag him to the mall and slowly walk by each jewelry store.
Accidentally leave a jewelry advert on the counter with a coffee ring circling the one(s) you prefer.

Don't ask him, if you do and he accepts, later he'll always let you know you asked him he didn't ask you. Try holding on for a while longer. Good luck!

If you are ready to marry then you need good enough communication to tell him. Just tell him and say...."suprise me"

so , do you think he hasn't asked because he's waiting for you to tell him you're ready? He'll ask when he's ready.
