My computer is a P3 running on Win2000.
It can only complete it's booting if I hit or shake my CPU hard enough before I switch it on, (sometimes it doesn't) if not, after switching it on it will indicate 'no signal input' on my monitor.
When I run several programs or especially programs that utilises graphics example WME files, my mouse pointer will appear as a large pixel & all other graphic will appear distorted, finally my computer will stop functioning & the screen freezed. Please advice anybody? I suspect is a hardware problem? Maybe the graphic card is faulty or one of my hardware is faulty? Or could it be loose connection.. pls help.

I believe many will suggest changing a new com, & I'm just hoping to meet an expert or someone that has encountered similar problem & has been able solve it.

This case may has hundreds of causes, therefore I am not sure what trouble you are facing.I have only a little trick that I found working in such cases and want to tell you.
Open CPU and take off all PCI cards ( Such as LAN card or sound card or modem, if any ) take out RAMs from DIMM slot and finally take CMOS battery out of motherboard. Now connect them back one by one within an intervale of 5 minutes. Now boot your computer again and see if problem is solved. If it did not work you can try checking whether it's because a malfunctioning device. To do this take off a device and see if problem solved, if not, reconnect the device and see again by removing another device. For example first remove the modem and boot your computer, if problem still exist then reconnect modem and next try removing CD Rom or one of RAMs.
As I told you this case may has hundred of causes, if this all not help you, you need to check CMOS battery or hard disk first of all for thier consistency.
For the graphics problem right click on any empty area of you desktop and click properties > open " settings " tab and then click " advanced" . Another property tab should open, select " troubleshoot" tab. Here you find a silder labeled " Hardware acceleration " or something like this.By deafault it's always set on " Full " .Move the slider to a lower position and I am sure it will fix graphics problem.

Take the cover off, and blow out all the dust - it sounds like you might be overheating. Also, make sure that everything, especially the video cards, is properly seated in it's slot. If that doesn't work, and you're not comfortable messing inside computers, turn it over to a repair shop. They have advanced diagnostic tools that most people don't have access to.

It would seem you have shaken some things loose in the tower. Check your video cars and make sure it is in place completely and check connections to your monitor. If that doesn't work you may have damaged your card or motherboard and processor by shaking it. By the way, your PC is not an old TV you can only damage it by shaking it.

i'm afraid I consider Jessica. It appears like your problematical force is kaput. If laptop is custom outfitted you want to make confident your device is holding the problematical force(s) cool sufficient. From adventure of cooking a pair my device has a good number of followers in and 2 blowing over the hd bays.

You have probably knocked the beejessus outta it! Make sure all the cards and cables are seated tightly! Better yet, throw that antique in the trash bucket or sell it to the smithsonian and get a REAL PC!
