If i had to write a short story i'd probably choose to write about one of my own personal experiences. I've got some pretty funny and interesting stories from my past so i'd def start there. But if ur life isnt very interesting, u could still pick a memory from ur past and try to add to it to make it sound more appealing.

try to write sth but don't stop writtng even if it is not good.
when u have finished u can read it a time or two. then try to write the same story in better words and make it better and more complete . at last u should check tyhe gerammer of the sentences to correct the gerammer mistakes.

write something you know VERY well about. spice it up with some humour, makes things more readable ;)
