I needed ideas for my oration. Please help me. I need an oration piece that will last for 4 minutes when publicly orated. Please no abraham lincoln's getterburgs address or the one from shakespeare, Brutus' speech. No short oration. I need an oration that is not too short but also not too long like Everrett's Getterburg Address.

for mr. hamster, I'm not asking you to do my homework. I'm posting here in Yahoo!answers for advice or FOR MORE IDEAS about my "going to be oration". Don't post if you don't have any idea.

Miss Sleepy One...

While I cannot give a complete dissertation, maybe an idea such as how important tonal inflection and facial expression is for communication vs. just the printed word; where these characteristics need to be assumed, or the sentence constructed well enough for them to be "understood".

That is why it is difficult for some to deceive the sighted, easier to fool the blind that can hear, easier to fool the deaf and blind... (The ones that can read Braille) and the written word can deceive most of all.

Just remember, you will need 100 - 150 words per minute depending on your speed of speech.
