I think people that think like that are being narrow minded. I see at least some beauty in every woman of every adult age regardless of color or race or hair color.

Difficult to generalize, but individual preferences run the entire range of possibility, there really isn't a "norm" when it comes to what people find attractive. The idea of only socializing with your own tribe/ethnic group is an artificial social constraint and very much part of the slave mentality. If anything, evolution favors mixing the gene pool.
Sure, mass media has played a role in promoting certain images of beauty but the modeling industry today is very diverse, and I think it's more fundamental than that.
In most cases it's simply an attraction to the exotic, people finding attributes which they don't commonly see in themselves or their daily lives as something desirable. Just like some white men are obsessed with black women, and some asian men have a thing for blondes, it's just not unusual or noteworthy.
The age-old saying- opposites attract! It's true...

I don't think it's a slave mentality, just a preference for beauty, or, more likely, the media pounding a certain beauty standard into our brains. It's sad that more people of color don't see their skin tones as beautiful, but merely holding a preference for that which you are not doesn't mean you're being discriminatory or self-depricating.
I find height and long limbs beautiful, but I don't possess them- does that make me not love myself? No, I can appreciate shorter and closer together, but I can still hold the ideal of beauty.
It's just very hard to dictate aesthetics, you know?

It's not slave mentality. All societies have standards of beauty.
In America, Hollywood introduced the idea of the blonde bombshell. The image has lasted because it has a carefree personality associated with it. Dark hair and features have a more brooding, serious nature associated with them.
But, you're wrong. Most people do not prefer light skin and blonde hair.

people have different tastes...what you are describing is the medias portrayal of beauty, which is distorted and disgusting... Everyone is different, some people think breasts are the most important, while others think feet are what makes or breaks a woman. skin color the same way, most black girls i see are kinda ugly (bone facial structure and stuff...) but i have seen some VERY beautiful black women (i am a white male FYI) But ultimately, a womans personality is what is the final say in whether i think shes beautiful or not, not race, or hair, or eyes or skin...

Beauty lies inside the eye of another youthful dream
That doesnt sell its soul for self-esteem
Beauty lies inside desire and every wayward heart redeemed
Dont forget to be the way you are
Dont go and sell your soul for self-esteem
forgot which group's lyrics this is but it perfectly says wat i wanted to convey!
