Apparently standard American English was too difficult for some people to understand so here is the revised simplified version of my question. If you only want to complain then please do not waste my time and yours posting in a place that is about answering questions.
Cat Stevens originally sang this song but there is a woman singing it on the commercial and I can't figure out who it is. If you know the answer to my question, I would greatly appreciate your help. If not, thanks anyway.

if you find out e-mail please i ask the same question Ive been looking the last 2 days Couple of people have said they e-mailed DeBeers (a diamond is forever) and they were emailed back that it is Cat Power P.S. Lani Hall Originally sang this song is was covered by Cat Stevens. Check out Chan Marshall Cat Power real name.I will keep u updated if I find out more 411.

actually......I love Cat Power and her voice sounds just like the woman's in the commercial (and still might be who does the commercial version) BUT the only record of anyone doing a cover of Cat Steven's "How Can I Tell You" was done by Lani Hall in 1972 on the record 'Sun Down Lady' . But good luck on hearing it....I've tried finding an audible version and am still at a loss. Let me know if you have better luck. hope that helps

Hi, I was actually searching the web for the answer to the same question. When I first heard the commercial, I was convinced it was covered by Cat Power, but cannot verify. Kindly let me know if you ever figure it out... I promise to do the same.

hey. i'm not completely sure. but i've heard from one source that it's a cover by Cat Power of the Cat Stevens song.
i really wanted to know so i had to research it. haha. that song is so damn good.
