Ok, a couple years ago I built a pingpong table made of 2x4's and compressed wood top, with basic paint. Now here's the dilemma. I need to damage the table severely, dues to abuse from roommates. Unfortunately I have to do it quietly, so no sawing, termintes etc. One thing its in a common living room, and I have to live here for the next 1.5 years. So I'm looking for people who how to do it, from either pranks as kids or mistakes as adults. Thanks

oh i wouldn't say a lie, just trying to destroy it a quiet way as to not hear any complaining because they can't have their reindeer games

pour a glass of water on it every night until the wood expands. you may need to scratch the paint to allow the water to seep in

Not sure I want to help someone create a lie. Hmmm... I hope you have some overwhelming reasons. Oh, well...
The key is the compressed wood. Spills (beer, tea, coffee) that sat on the top for awhile ended up soaking in and made another table I know sag. The hot coffee is proably best. A bad sag destroys the table. So do gauges, deep scratches, broken net, padding crumbling off the paddles....

A good fire under it. Heat will make it bulge the opposite of the source

maybe not a fire so much as somethingf like a space heater. and the liquid thing is a nice idea. You could get crazy drunk and have relations on it...
