In test matches..JH Edrich of england hit 238 runs in boundaries during his innings of 310 not out vs newzealanad at leeds in 1965 whn he hit 52 fours and 5 sixes

The most runs in an Innings of Test Match in boundaries were scored by Mr. J.H. Edrich of England. In the 1st Innings of
3rd Test Match of 1965 series between England and New Zeland played at Hedingly, Leeds from 8th July to 13th July, 1965, he remained Not Out on 310 runs facing 450 Balls.

Out of 310 runs, 238 runs were scored in boundaries with the help of 5 sixers and 52 fours.
England won that match as well as the series 3-0
Most runs in boundaries in One Day International were scored by Herschelle Gibbs of South Africa. In the 5th One Day International Mach of 2005/2006 series played between South Africa and Australia at Wanderers Stadiu, Johannesburg on 12.03.2006, he scored 175 Runs against Australia in 111 Balls. Out of these 175 runs, 126 runs were scored in boundaries with the help of 21 fours and 7 sixers.
Chasing the huge total of 434 runs posted by Australia, South Africa scored 438 runs in 49.9 overs for the loss of 9 batsmen and won the match.

Lara:has 6598 runs out of 11688 career runs in 4s and 6s. For some reason, stats about exact 4s and 6s are missing from career records for a few players including SRT.
