Politicians and royalty. The rest of us just get killed.

Late note: That does include the Pope, who is about as political as you can get.

It depends if you are speaking of a team of people who are also important enough to order an assassination. Or do you mean just a drive by shooting? This is not a real explicit question, but I am only guessing that you are looking here at a clear case of semantics. If you had three friends and one of them was in the way (hypithetically speaking), of some big business deal that was dealing with millions in the stock market and you and two others planned his assassination because he was the one vote that would veto your plan for a stock to be sold or bought to make you millions then that is an assassination. Technically it is all murder, but when anyone is sitting in a position of power to decide the fate of millions they are important they dont have to be a politician. You could be the chairman of Pepsi Cola or an owner of a Burger King franchise whatever. It is ridiculous to think you are just some politician, many of which are no one anyway. Assassinations were done as far back as the old Capone days and they were Mob bosses assassinating each other for territorial reasons. Money and Power.

Example. John F. Kennedy was assassinated

Tupac Shakur was shot

as we can clearly see.. they are both really famous.. but one of them had a political influence.

i think you have to be a political figurehead or something to be assassinated.. anybody else is just pretty much shot / murdered..
