A friend told me lots of people do. I'm not sure of that, how about a show of hands!

If so, what do you think they look like!

I do. Twice I've been face to face with what registered instantly as demons, but I don't know why, or even what a demon is.

So, the first one I saw while asleep, and I woke up yelling. It was white and still as a statue and looked like a woman at first, until it attacked me. I was sure it wasn't a dream. Its feeling was pure, no malice, just eat and move on. After some years I decided, maybe it was just a dream.

The second looked almost the same, but I was awake, with a friend who couldn't see it. It looked like a perfect Greek statue of a woman, but its eyes were rolled back in its head in pure contempt. I was so scared my personality got wiped out of me for several minutes, like I was too scared to stay. I didn't even let my personality come back until I almost passed out.

Anyway, I felt like I was floating with a great white shark, yet it didn't touch me. So, from this I ended up believing in both angels and demons, because something very powerful must be protecting us.

As a matter of fact they do. The Catholic Chirch still has procedures for exorcism and still has a few priests trained to do it. Also other denominations of christianity are proacticing various forms of exorcism in ever incresasing numbers. ON top of that, there are practitioners of several froms of magic that are not above working with demons either to gain power, knowledge, or even, on occasion to send them out into the world to wreak havok. If I had to estimate the prevalence of belief in demons I ouwl say that a figure in the high seven digits (millions) would be a safe number, possibly even conservative.

I believe in demons, but I'm not exactly sure what they look like. I think demons look like angels, because all demons ar just satan's angels (if you read the bible as it was originally translated, it doesnt refer to demons, it refers to satan's angels). Also, since one book of the bible mentions god creating a moving stairway between heaven and Earth for the angels to use, I wonder why would he make something like that if andgels had wings? So I don't believe angels have wings. Theyre basically just glowing people in my mind.

I personally think that the concept of evil can manifest itself in the manner it is expressed and feared most. For some cultures that would be demons. I suspect that Roman Catholic communities might see more demons than say protestant. Another example would be in many ancient eastern cultures, the idea of demons is a commonly accepted part of daily life....

The gods of one religion often become the demons of another. Take Baal (which means 'Lord' or 'Master') for example - nice little chap, god of fertility, gets demonized by the Christians & they name him one of their top, high-ranking devils - Baal Zebub (later Beelzebub) - which means "Lord of the Flies"! Even the pretty goddesses get made into horrible demons - take Aphrodite (gorgeous, blonde, foxy) who (we're later told) is nothing but the demon Astaroth, the Infernal Tempter!

lots of people still believe in demons, as to what they look like... well appearance in the demonic realms depends on what kind of spirit you are talking about, and what culture they come from.

I do hope so for demons are a very real entity and their purpose is to bring pain into your life, if not to take it. And if you don't believe in them then you will not learn how to fight back and defeat them. They are not just mindless creatures wondering around without direction, They have a plan as well as having the knowledge of the ages. But after all its your life and it is yours to put at risk.........................

i do believe in demons, i believe this world is just to plain if there wasnt something intersting to believe in like vampires and all that. plus if god is real then they have to be, there satans angels and you cant have god without satan. sure seems nicer to not have a satan, but it dont work like that. now i dont believe in werewolfs, for some reason the idea just seems tooo impossible.

I feel demons can look like whatever you fear most. They have power in your fear and they will do whatever it takes to get that fear out of you.
