lets see, when I was 17 I had a YTS (Youth Training Scheme) placement in a restraunt, the manager used to lock me in the freezer shed in the back, for no apparent reason, he then asked me if I was wearing knickers!! on the scheme we had to be home by 10, being under 18, and my last bus was 9.15, he refused to let me go one day until 9.35 so I had to ring my dad to collect me, It all came out and my dad went to have words with the manager, I didn't see what happened but my dad came back from the back of the place where the frozed food shed was with a big grin on his face !! Crap Job, Nice Ending.
Also worked as a med sec last year, didn't have a specific job as was supply, filling in for up to 15 other secs, the last straw for me was when I had to sit on the floor for an entire morning as there was no desk for me.
Worked in a factory when I was just out of school, where you weren't allowed to talk or go to the toilet, you had to put your hand up and ask the supervisor if you wanted a wee, they searched your bags on the way out, you had to line up by the door while they did it and they didn't start it early so you could leave on time either.

I was about 12 and wanted to get some money for a dress to go to a dance with a boy who asked me. The only job around that would hire kids was working in the tobacco fields. I was a "hander" and would take stalks of tobacco in groups of 5 leaves and hand them to the person who would tie them on a long pole to go and hang them in the barn. We worked out in the hot summer sun in North Carolina for about 8 hours a day. I made 60 cents an hour. This was a while ago, and the wage was still really poor. I worked there long enough to get the money for the dress and got out of that!

Working 72 hours a WEEK in a handicapped home, taking care of severly handicapped and mentally retarded residents. It wasn't even the residents that repulsed me, I loved them, it was the co-workers. Nasty assholes! We all fought, some of them were soooo gross. I would always find menstral blood on the employee bathroom stool, some of them would leave clients in their soiled clothes and act like they had no clue they were dirty. One night when I was raging mad about how some of the others were lazy and disgusting I decided to clean the clients fridge. I found chicken defrosting on top of the salads, half of the items in the fridge spoiled, and worste, what looked to be pubic hair! That along with a few other things eventually lead to my resignation and phone call to local officials. WORST job ever!

Security guard at a retail store. I had to chase shoplifters out into the parking lot sometimes. The most humilating part was I had to check my fellow employee's lunch boxes etc. Once another employee beat the living daylights out of a guy who tried to use a stolen credit card. Then the store manager tried to intimidate me into lying to the police about what happened to protect the hot-head employee from assault charges!

working at the night shift at an answering service for doctors.
the reasons that people call doctors for in the middle of the night are just insane or really stupid and the docs that are oncall never want to talk to people. it was not a fun job at all.
