Just someone that's unusual? In a creepy way or a charming way? Are they shun by society or what??

Can you give me some examples of people/characters that are bohemian? Is it a bad thing if someone calls you that?
I want your opinions, I know what wikipedia thinks. Cheers

To me, it's usually a free thinker, who may or may not be shunned by society but who doesn't care one way or the other how they are perceived. Not necessarily creepy, just usually a very layered, rich personality. Bohemians are fascinating to be around. A lot of times, though, movies try to stereotype them--but that flies in the face of the whole concept of being a free thinker. You can't cast such a person into a mold. If you have been called bohemian, be glad that someone considers you to be your own person and have your own mind.
And if it bothers someone else, that's their problem.

Aside from the actual ethnic connotations, a bohemian is an artsy sort of person. Think of an avant-garde artist dressed totally in black and drinking absinthe. My family has a shorter term for bohemians: bohos. Some colleges are classic boho hangouts, tending to draw the artistic, dramatic types. They're usually eccentric, lean toward non-traditional relationships, and write tons of poetry. They like to live on the fringes of society, but they're usually not true outcasts. I have plenty of bohemian friends, and they're interesting to hang out with.
