Yes dear:
Mobile purchased from USA will work in India, but charging is a matter as in US they use 110Vand india 220V, do not worry you can buy an adaptor for this from any shop in India. So the problem will be solved. Only you have to buy a SIM card from any Indian company like Reliance, etc....

Fones or Other Electronic Items in the U.S work at 60 Hz During Charging. Whereas in India the Standard is 50 Hz. So watch Out for that
