So I must ask, why will no one go with you? And what is the court date for? Why cry?
Look at the bigger picture.....
good luck to you.....

Dress professionally and very light make-up and hair conservative. Have all your paperwork organized and ready, if you must type out on your computer exactly what you want to say, do that in case you forget. Make what you want to say it short and to the point. The court doesn't tolerate big explanations or excuses. Yes, be polite, "yes, your honor".
It's normal to be nervous in court. I would not have suggested representing yourself, could you get a public defender?
May I ask what are your charges? There is basically a set 'sentence' for all charges unless special allegations are involved.
Good Luck!

All depends what it is for and how old you are. I think if you are direct, polite and put your point across in a credible manner you should do well. I represented myself in court once, adult court for a minor matter and I copped it bad. Some say the judges are ex solicitors and they do not take a good view of people who do not support the profession by representing themselves. I hate that and hope it is not true. Good luck to you and keep your chin up.

Dress nice. Be respectful. Tell the truth. It's OK to be nervous. I'll let you in on a little secret. Everyone else is nervous too. Good Luck.

Crying may help in a small town.Go with your gut.If you're looking at jail time ask to be appointed legal representation.Make sure you have $$$That's ALL they really care about .They don't want you in jail,though.Sounds like your 1st offense.I wouldnt cry unless I was a cute girl and I knew the judge from Sunday school or somesuch...Dawnsdad is right.It doesn't hurt to look nice.Don't over do it.If you have a job let them know it.Good luck .;
