See her/his pediatrician. Being so young you have to consider something worse is happening than simple constipation (not to scare you, I just want you to be careful), Is the baby breast fed (babies who have 100% breastmilk don't get constipated)? If not, a side effect of formula use is constipation.
Go to the doctor. Good luck.
PLEASE DON'T TRY ANY HOME REMEDIES SHE'S TOO YOUNG - SEE THE DOCTOR.

First, I have to say that I agree that you need to see, or at least talk to the doctor first. There could be some sort of bowl obstruction going on or some other complication
Now, that said, I am going to tell you what I did for my son AFTER I checked with his doctor and everything checked out. This is going to sound gross, but it works. Use a warm wet washcloth and gently rub the anus. It will stimulate the anus muscles into action. Have a large thick towel or something under the baby. I promise you, it works. Think like a cat or dog. They do the same thing (although they use their tongue) to stimulate excretion. I learned this when I had to help some baby kittens that their mother had abandoned. After losing one, I figured out that the reason they were all bloated is that they weren't having any waste. It didn't dawn on me until I finally coax my "Mama" cat into fostering and watched her help them release. It will work on your baby, but it can be explosive if the baby is really constipated. Word of hte wise though, my son was very tiny when he was born with almost no body fat. He did not have as many dirty diapers as other babies because he was retaining more of what he was taking in to catch up and put some body fat on. I only did this after three days with no movement. Be sure, also, that you take note of the stool's consistancy (more runny than normal or firmer than normal or really hard) so that you can let your doctor know.
About the Karo. I have used that in the past, but would not recommend it for a baby so young as yours. I would talk to the doctor about that first. And if you get the okay on that, keep in mind that you don't need very much in the bottle. Also, if you do it very often, you will be teaching your baby to want something sweet. If you breastfeed that shouldn't be so much of a problem as breastmilk is sweeter than formula.
If you use apple juice, be sure that it is BABY apple juice and still dilute it to no more than 1/4 juice to 3/4 water.
Again, I suggest you talk to the doctor about this situation.

Karo Corn syrup in formula. Just a tablespoon or two for a full bottle. My son had a terrible time with constipation. We went through a lot of Karo syrup - the dark kind.
I misread the question and thought it said three months old. At three days old the baby isn't old enough to be functioning normally yet. There may not be a bowel movement for days yet. Call your Pediatrician or the hosptial where the baby was born.

My son was constipated after birth. We were still in the hospital. The dr's ran some tests. they said that babies that age don't normally get constipated and it is usually a sign of another problem. Be careful! alot of home remidies have been linked to other problems ( like SIDS). Good luck!

My daughters pediatrician said that babies all vary they may poop five times a day or once every five days when they are at that age...
So I wouldn't be worried but another thing you can do, besides everything everybody already said is massage her tummy, give her a warm bath, um put vaseline on your thermometer and put it up her butt gently, keep it in there maybe for a minute, and take it out, veryy gently just the metal part.
Um Another thing is you can give her 2 ounces prune juice, 2 ounces water in a bottle.
One last thing is you can kind of help her by lifting her legs up and pushing them towards her.

Make sure the baby doesn't have jaundice. Not pooping at this age can be really dangerous, and her biliruben levels may be off the chart. This is how my niece was discovered to have a severe case of jaundice. Please take your baby in to the doctor's, baby is far too young for any home remedy treatments for constipation.

All newborns are new in every since, they are not use to using that muscle. If you are breast feeding, try drinking more water, tons of water and breast milk is made for babies so the breastfed babies don't poop as much cause the body utilizes it very well!. I have had newborns of mine (had 6) not poop for days, like maybe 5 or 6 days at a time..
