Lexapro can do all those things!

When I took it a year ago, I totally skipped two periods. They just ... never showed up. After those two months, my cycle was longer than it had been before, and I could never pinpoint ovulation because my cervical fluid just ceased to exist.

Anorgasmia (inability to orgasm) is a very common side effect of SSRI's, the kind of antidepressant you are taking. That is certainly due to the Lexapro. I definitely experienced it; there are things your doctor can give you to counteract it.

So I'd guess it's really depression, not menopause ... those things are effects of the Lexapro, and very common at that. There are lots of other women who experience them while on antidepressants. Especially since you haven't had hot flashes or anything like that.

nicely perhaps in case you let us know your age we may be able to inform you..... yet the following is something i found on the internet for you... the time-honored age of menopause is fifty one years previous. yet there's no thanks to foretell even as someone woman will enter menopause. The age at which a lady starts having menstrual classes is likewise not on the concern of the age of menopause onset. maximum women people attain menopause between the a lengthy time period of 40 5 and fifty 5, yet menopause may take position as formerly because the 30s or 40s or may not take position until eventually a lady reaches her 60s. As a tough "rule of thumb," women people have a tendency to undergo menopause at an age resembling that of their moms. Perimenopause, many times followed by irregularities contained in the menstrual cycle alongside with the common indications of early menopause, can initiate as a lot as ten years previous to the most suitable menstrual era.

You could be peri-menopausal, but this is something your doctor should know about, especially if there's a possiblity that these are side affects from the meds. The signs of menopause vary from woman to woman, but you want to be sure nothing else is going on.
