Heroes and cowards are not localized to a political party; it is embedded into ones soul. War is never popular unless you're winning, and winning may not always be evident to the skeptic. History brings clarity and justification and the righteous always prevail in the end.

I am a Republican [HARD CORE] I don't think you have the facts here their are alot of Dems who are very brave their are also alot who voted to send troops to Iraq some still stand by their vote some have blown the other way due to the fear of whatever but the ones who stand by their convictions should not be lumped into the coward category.

war shouldn't be about flexing muscles for any party... and its people like you that should stay the f*ck out of politics. you say your question like you should go to war instead of reaching a diplomatic and much less costly approach to stability. in today's world, we went to war based on a renegade president's will to finish what daddy started. its about personal gain and getting the major american corporations in their back pockets richer and richer by granting them contracts and pipelines. i would hope any TRUE american would be against that. we're democrats against war in ww2 when you had a clearly evil presence threatening the world and making direct assalts on american property? NO. democrats get their facts straight first instead of jumping head-first into an empty pool of deception like you would.

We cannot forget that it was a Democrat, FDR, who led the US through most of WW II, and another Democrat, Truman, who led the US through its conclusion, including the decision to use Atomic Weapons.
John F. Kennedy was a WW II hero and demonstrated great strength during the Cuban missile crisis.
Jack Murtha and John Kerry both fought bravely in vietnam, and to say that anyone who fought in vietnam and did not fight patriotically or bravely is to admit that there are soldiers in Iraq who not fighting patriotically and bravely for us now - I am unwilling to draw that conclusion.
Bush did not fight in a war - although his father did, bravely.
To say Democrats are cowards in war is simply ignoring facts of history.

You mean cowards, like Cheney and Bush were when they had a chance to serve their country and fight in Vietnam? Cowardly that way?
There is nothing heroic about being eager to send young men to their death, especially when nothing is gained by their sacrifice.

They are not cowards, idiot! They simply do not see the sense in throwing good lives away. A coward would be he who joined and then hid behind daddy so he didn't have to go to Viet Nam... um .. your president!!!
