And have you seen the number of TV shows that celebrate Geeks?
CSI, Numb3rs, Heroes, etc. You have to know math and science to watch TV these days...

Geek is just a school term used for smart people who have no life. I think that you can be smart and have fun but to have the true name of a geek, you have to play math and science computer games and go to afterschool clubs all the time and have no friends. Which is sad because those are the kind of people that you should become friends with. I mean they are usually really nice people

geeks are just a lable placed on certain individuals just because they have are less attractive attributes to the so-called 'cool' people.
#1: it's not right to discrminate.
#2: it's not nice to label people into categories. that is called prejudice.
people have the right to enjoy activities that are enjoyable to them. as long as it does not include bloodshed or is enjoyed at the expense of others, i think it's safe to say that yes 'geeks' do have fun.
you don't have to be 'cool' to have a nice time. duh!
some geeks enjoy having fun in their own manner. it's all about your personal style. if you think it's fun, so what whether you're viewed as a geek or not. just as long as you don't annoy anyone in the process, just whing it.

Why not? I personally find studying science a very enjoyable and fun thing to do, but besides devoting time for that, I do other stuff that "non-geek" people would find fun too! :)

Yes. Geek's think about sex more than most people, so they are very creative when they finally get to do it.

absolutely. im a dork and have been my entire life, but being a dork isn't always bad. for example i found the best job in the world for someone who is a dork. I actually work at DiscoveryWorld. its the new museum and aquarium in milwaukee. everyday I get to go to work, ride a segway and teach kids about science. its all a matter of finding something you like to do and then get paid for it.

yep! i have a few guy friends who are definitely, er "geeky" are they play D&D and go to parties and watch movies, etc. being a "geek" means you enjoy doing some "geeky" things i guess? :)
