The vast majority of folks in South Africa - white, black and everything in between - are hard-working, decent people, that want to live full lives, with the logical pursuit of happiness, free of the current nightmare of AIDS, crime and government corruption.
Every one of the contributors to this forum, including the numbskulls, are at heart good, earnest and genuine men and women.
South Africa is at its core an amazing place, with particularly unique cultures, warm, friendly people and, if allowed, incredible potential.
There are not many places on Earth that offer such panoramic scenery, genuine wildlife, a warm, embracing population and generally good people.
The food is great, there is so much to see, and, the criminal scum aside, South Africans will wecome people with open arms,
especially now that the nightmare of apartheid has been tossed into the scrap-heap of history.
I mean this from the heart - Amandla!

Dir 33 - I'm not a former anything. I've been an American citizen for ten years and resided in this great country for sixteen years now.
I'm not on any fence, my friend. My positions are quite clearly defined; I love the core of what South Africa is, but hate what it has become.
