Some of my faves have significant CHristmas scenes but may not be considered Christmas movies by most people.
Eyes Wide Shut-- whole thing takes place right before Christmas
The Trouble with Angels-- oe of my favorite scenes in this move are when Mary (Haley Mills) has a crisis of faith during the Christmas party at the old folks home
A LIttle Princess-- BBC version. Corny and a little slow but it has a place in my heart. We used to watch it every year while we wrapped gifts.
The Snowman....
and what's the one where Truman Capote is a little boy staying with is two aunts?

I loved the "Miracle on 34th Street" when I was little. The original version. I think it was done around 1947. Also, Bing Crosby and Bob Hope, "White Christmas" That was a great movie. Not sure what year it came out though. Best Wishes.

A Christmas Story is one of my favorites. It deals with a child's recollection of Christmas in the 1930's, or possibly the 1940's. There are some hilarious scenes in it, but it has the ring of authenticity to it. I especially the little sub story when Ralphie realizes his mother won't tell his dad about a fight he was in with the local bullies, and the language he used.
If you've never seen it, watch it. It's a unconventional Christmas classic!

well, in my opinion the graetest of all time is "It's a wonderful life."! This is a movie which just makes you feel like it is always Christmas! It gives a lot of insight into life and human nature! Great story! also, you can't go wrong with Dickens' classic, "Christmas carol!" best one in my opinion the one from the eighties starring George C. Scott
