Bush's man Gates I think a better choice if he had tried to get someone who knows the region and people and how they think. they might be able to get the fractions together and have them come to some sort of agreement. Or a man by the name of Colin Powell who would know how to handle the way the war should be handled.

I wish there was such a thing as a sum less that zero, because that's the amount of faith I have in Mr. Gates.Hell, if he had to pick a guy named Gates he'd have been better off with Bill. I agree with you about General Powell, but he's way too smart to involve himself in that corrupt quagmire the "good old boys" have created. Besides, Alma wouldn't let him.

I would love to see Colin Powell take that spot. But I cannot see any circumstances under which Bush would offer it to him, since to do so would be admitting he was wrong for fire Powell in the first place. And I cannot see any circumstances under which Powell would accept the job, given how he was snubbed before.

What Bush needs is a man who knows a diplomatic, rather than a military, option that could produce positive results.

Like Bush or not, Gates has my sympathy, he could not have inherited a more difficult situation.

Bush rushed in Gates before the democrats in January would have a say about it. I think Gates will just be another yes-man.
But probably not as bad as Mr. Rumsfailed.

I just hope gates says to hell with diplomacy and tells his generals to get the job done and call him when it is finished, they will call him in app, 60 days , we have tried diplomacy long enough now lets kick ***, and our men can get the job done if they will let them, and Collin Powell is just another imitator

Dems continue to push a politcally correct war.

Get the fractions together and AGREE! lol!
Let's pass more UN resolutions! That worked before! :)

Get them to agree on beheadings via videotape, or public beheadings? I wish they could all get along, stand around the campfire and sing Kumbaya. It's a great solution!

Yes-man hes there to replace rumsfield because rumsfield made them look bad but i think that if he had replaced him with gates earlier it would have gotten at least one or two more republicans in during election
