Elephants dont generally chew anything - they just swallow their food hence it doesnot matter if it is peanuts or bananas :)

Yes.I seen Zoo workers feed peanuts to elephants.

You betcha! I've fed peanuts to elephants in India, and they love them - always sniffing after more.

elephants are pure herbivores
hence they eat peanuts, sugar canes, etc
