Should Indians support him to the fullest and review him only after the World cup? Your say, pls.

What I find is that the Indians tend to expect results too fast and too many in no time. This makes the job of a coach really difficult. Greg has abundance of ideas and strategies which he wishes to implement gradually. I think he has the world cup in sight and is moving along accordingly. At this point of time, I find that the best bet is to support Greg to the fullest and he should be given a free hand (in the real sense) and should wait for the results of the World Cup.
I totally agree with you that the review of Greg's performance be made only after the world cup.
All the best to dear Greg (Lage Raho Munna Bhai).

Yes you are right. As per Greg's terms & contract with BCCI, BCCI will review his performance after World Cup 07 only. No changes in coaching department before world cup 07.

Personally I feel he is putting lot of efforts to create a balanced Indian team. Lots of experiments which were required for him to find out the best elevan before world cup. Promoted Rahul as a captain was a stratgic move by Greg, shaping Irfan as an allrounder was an another example, picked sreesanth from MRF pace foundation proved he is inovative,

Lets hope he will be able to bring one more world cup for India.

N.B :-Forget Ganguly's issue, we all know because of whom Ganguly is out of the Indian team.

I fully agree with your views. When India were performing well last season everybopdy was praising Chappel. However, since the performance of Indian Team this season has been far from satisfactory, the same people who praised him earlier are criticising him. This attitude is really bad not only in case of Coach, but also in case of the players.

who said that. our team management is supporting him totally and not to mension about captain dravid and all the team players. it is only a matter of time the whole coutry will go for chappel once india starts winning in both the forms of cricket which they surly will do in the comming matches. see "ye he india", here every one likes u till u r succesful and will dump u when they start to lose.

The coach can only help the players if they want to take his advice. Our players are to busy with their ads, modelling, promotions. The BCCI is too busy fighting with ICC. I think all of them have forgotten that they are here to play cricket.
I think it's unfair to blame Greg Chappel, why should we blame him...because he demands discipline??
The blame goes to the players who are overpaid and over-confident and do not follow the coach.
Even before the South Africa tournament starting on 19th, u can see Dhoni, Irfan, Sehwag, Bhajji, Sachin, Dravid on TV promoting products, events and doing music videos despite the pathetic performance in Champions Trophy. Players need to reminded that they are not models but cricketers. IS CHAPPEL TO BE BLAMED FOR THIS? obviously not!

Its not the coach, captain, but the team to perform on the field. Coach, captain and management can make planning and strategy but fainally the team and players have to deliver on field. If our team continues to perform in the way they have performing in last 8 - 9 matches, forget World Cup final, we will out in prelims only.

Due to politics in Indian Cricket, neither they themselves do the job nor allow others to do.
