Well, for TODAY, I would move files that you don't need right now to CDs. That should buy you some space temporarily.

Then,

Choice1: I would get an HD with about ten times the space that you already have. I would reinstall the Op-system on the new drive. (You will have to deal with MS to do that. Just tell them that you got a new HD and the old one will be scrapped). Move all the files that you want to keep to the new HD. Reinstall all the programs you want to keep on the new HD. Once you are satisfied that your new HD is ready to go solo. Get rid of that 'ol clunker.

Choice 2:
Buy a USB HD like somebody else suggested. You will still need to get some files off the old drive so that your CPU can use that space for virtual memory and have room for those files that get created with out you knowing it.

There are many other choices of course.

The USB drives are easy to use and cheap...they come as small as 1 MB and up. Just plug it in to a USB port, move some of your big files on to it and free up some of the space on your main drive. If you can't get a new drive, try cleaning up your system...one way is to run this great program you can get for free from zdnet or cnet....Duplicate File Finder v1.1.0.3. Often the space on your hard drive is taken up with files that duplicate themselves.

To the best of my knowledge, you need a miracle. About all you can do is get rid of the least desirable. If you have a way to save your data, you can reformat and enable compression which will give you more room. However, it will be slower.

you dont have to use partition magic to have additional disc space, if you are using windows flatform, you can use the drive compression agent
(accessories then system tools) in which it compresses your drive so that you can have additional disc space.

Hard disks are sooo cheap - just buy one and plug it into the cable off you go.
