It's open 24 hours so at midnight they're going to start selling it. How early should i be there so i can be one of the first to get one?

as early as they will let you, have some fun with it and camp out with friends if you want to.
I can tell you this, each Wal Mart is only going to receive 10 of the 60gb versions on average. If they receive any of the 20 GB version, it will be even less.
Because it is a super Wal Mart, they might get a few more. This information was given to me yesterday 11/13/06, not sure if it has changed because I haven't spoken to Sony yet today.

I've seen people line up 6/8 hours ahead of time to buy systems at Best Buy. I'd get there like 6 in the evening. You will either be early enough, or probably know when you get there. I would imagine they would tell you how many they have and only have those many wait. Good luck! I am glad my son wants a Wii. I think they will be easier to get. Just remember, it seems like yesterday the 360 was impossible to get. Now you can get one anywhere. Aren't we laughing at those that paid $2000 for one.

You had better get their EARLY! Like at least 8 hours ahead. Here in Japan they were turning people away before they even got near the doors because they knew before they even opened the doors that they didn't have enough to meet the demand. Some people waited hours and hours only to be told they wouldn't even get in the door because they had already sold out!

thats gonna be hard. i am gonna wait in line at a bestbuy that opens at midnight to sell it, then close. i am gettin there thursday morning, gotta get up around 3 or 4 am. you should get there in the early morning. make sure you got things to do while in line.

if that is the only place to buy
i say in the afternoon
if many people in where ever you live like them
i cant image ppl lining up for a game station
but wherever if you like them that much go nuts and be the first
go at the night before if you want
i bet someone would do that

you should be there at least 2 to 3 days ahead of time cuz sony is only shipping out 400,000 to 500,000 ps3 all over the us so be there early.

i was going to go to a walmart also... but then i was told there are people that have been in line since tuesday night soo good luck.

go one or two days in advance and camp outside the store, you will be sure to get it.
