i have looked on HBO.com but i can't seem to find any thing about when the new season starts

Earlier this year, HBO announced that the second season of Rome will start airing on January 7, 2007.

I think that information remains correct.
Rome will not be continued beyond Season 2.

I heard that Deadwood was dropped for Rome, because they couldn't swing both financially. Too bad if Rome gets cancelled. It's actually very interesting, as well as entertaining.

They are talking like it will start in January but that is just recently. I originally heard it was cancelled. Lets hope the first story is correct.
