Help a lot of people while you earn next to nothing for the rest of your life. I don't mean that in a mean way! It is simply the truth. For some reason our society seems to value all the wrong things. Think about it teachers, social workers, nursing home attendants are ALL grossly underpaid. We trust our children, our families, and our elderly to people who barely make a living wage. What's that about? Your degree tells me you care about PEOPLE more than high wages. Good for you! Get ready to be mocked and looked down upon by most people. Be prepared to drive an older car and live in a smaller house. Be prepared to lay awake at night worrying about people most of your neighbors would simply throw away. Get ready for a lifetime of disappointment and every once in a great while get ready for a miracle. Not often, but sometimes when you most need it a kid will surprise you and turn out OK. Cherish those victories. Know that the rich that mock you haven't half the heart you do. At the end of your life you may not have a lot of money to count, but you can count your blessings instead. Good luck...you'll need it!

Check out the link below. It can be used as a "blue print" to find the job you want.
You may also want to try speaking with a Career Counselor at your college or university. If you have already graduated they also offer services for Alumni.

Do an online search to see what career opportunities there are for the degree. Some degrees I find to be worthless, but that can't be one of them.
