copper can't produce electricity. it conducts electricity

Yes, if the copper turns on a generator. Then he can take the wires from the generator and interrogate the bad guy. This only happens if it's a bad copper, though.

Not by itself, but when acted on by a magnetic force, then electro-magnetic force will produce a current flow through the copper.
