They've run "ECW" for months now--and I'm STILL bumbled as to why because it simply clashes with their programming genre.
It's bad enough Sci-Fi Channel shares airtime with horrific gory movies--a decision I strongly disagree, but to have the TAPS Team (Ghost Hunters) feature "ECW" wrestler "CM Punk" as a guest investigator during their epic LIVE Halloween investigation of Colorado's famous Stanley Hotel.....well, that drew the line of ludicrous!!!
Bottom line: Sci-Fi Channel is hosting several successful ratings heavy programming: "Stargate SG-1", "Stargate: Atlantis", "Battlestar Galatica", "Ghost Hunters" and the really cool BBC redux of "Dr. Who" that they don't need to haul on board cheesy redneck wrestling.
If Vince McMahon / Viacom wants to front their wrestling ventures, then they need to divvy up the $$$$, launch a satellite and host their OWN wrestling channel--and stay the hell out of Sci-Fi Channel.

OMG.....what was the point? I think the people in TV Land do this on purpose. Sci-Fi was sooo cool when it first started and now it's just crazy!!! There are so many other Sci-Fi (past and present) shows out there, that you would think there would never be programming issues....I think wrestling on the Sci-Fi channel is a serious issue!!!

Not really.
Sci-Fi Channel shows a lot of fantasy shows and wrestling is a big fantasy anyway, so it all links together

hey the wrestling is paying for them to make their original shows and movies I'm betting and if it keeps episodes of dead like me or eureka coming or the Dark Angle reruns it's worth it. As someone else stated here wrestling is fantasy so you got that. I do miss the MST3K episodes and the morning airings of Dark Shadows. wish they'd bring them back.

SciFi aka Viacom is all about making money. (I got no problem with that) But they don't seem to follow the name of their network in their programming do they? I don't know...maybe they figure the wrestling is fictional and they make the jump in logic on the science part...they're screwy...

i visit a non violent and quiet place. the two in innovations, or in nature. issues are not meant to be prevented, we would desire to continuously not in basic terms run removed from issues - this is going to in basic terms make the themes greater. in case you like some peace of innovations, cope with the region and get it over with. do not run, only take a ruin, locate some peace of innovations and silence your fears.. collect your innovations and then come back with an action plan. xoxo
