Yes, the poor will. GST actually is an indirect tax where the poorer will pay more.

No...people will still live normally....it's not like they can do anything about it so no point dying to protest.

GST increase means we have to pay that 2% extra on the usual stuffs that we buy but it does not necessary mean that the poor will end up paying more.

The truth is that the rich will be paying more than the poor. Look at it this way. With the higher GST, rich people will still continue buying things and since they have the money, they are in fact spending more money than others. The poor however, in view of the GST increase, will find themselves spending less because they don't want to end up paying a lot of GST.

No. People won't just jump off the MRT track as they like. They only feel that why the cost of living is increasing and their paid is not increasing and start to grumble that's all

In the U.S. GST tax is "generation Skipping Transfer tax" and it only applies if a grandparent tries to give more than $2 million to grandchildren.

Probably. Cause those lower earning family actually paying more now. For the poor one even 1% make a different.
