I think that there are certain principals that are universal among all people. I think these principals are inborn, but not infallable. Societies tack on their own set of moral rules. There will always be some people who will make a conscious decision to ignore or defeat the rules of humanity and society. But the very basic rules of morality, like not killing your family & protecting your young, are pretty universal.

Yes I think it does. But just like any set of ideas or 'rules', there is always a way for people to rewrite them. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I'm not too good with blueprints, so.....

What are morals except a certain set of practices that are passed down from generation to generation? Every person, were they asked, would have a certain number of them that were similar, but not exact. For myself, I try to live the best life I can, to help others, never have cheated, stolen, etc.. But, that was ingrained in me since birth. So, I suppose the answer would be, yes, that is how they 'should'. But, for every person, it may be different.

Morality is cultural. It differs from one culture to another and does not mean that one is wrong or another is right. If one is never exposed to this or that, how can they be expected to live by it? In one culture one may not show a certain area of the body, in another such mores would be laughed at...everyone in that culture KNOWS this other area is the one not to let be seen...et cetera. We must just live to the best of our ability.
