I did & it helped just a little. She was lactose intollerant. It stopped at about 1 1/2 years old.

My son had a major spitting up issue when he was born also. I switched him almost 4 time before we found the right one. Soy was the best, but he was still spitting up, I began putting just a small amount of rice cereal in his bottle. The spitting up stopped, It seemed like he just needed something to hold it down. I wish you the best, I know it can be frustrating, You always worry they are going to starve! Good luck, I think everything will be fine.,

I switched formulas for that problem and for gas.
Question: Do you burp every couple of oz? That may help, if a gas bubble is sitting in between the formula it will be harder to digest.
Unless you seriously believe your infant has a milk allergy, don't switch. Switching is a major headache. I switches about 4 times, and ended up going back to the first one.

Switching to soy is a good idea for that. But also- it sounds like your baby has acid reflux. That is easily cured. You need to ask your Doctor about it but you can thicken the formula to help with the spit up. This means that you add cereal to the bottle (oatmeal is easier on the tummy- rice will make them constipated). They also have medication that they can put your baby on- but I would go with thickening the formula first. You will have to cut the nipples a little bigger but it's worth it. All three of my kids had acid reflux. You add one tablespoon of cereal to every 2 ounces of water. Hope this helps.

The poster Tammy makes a good point. The first thing I thought of was Acid reflux also. All three of my sisters kids had this. She ended up with them on soy formula, adding rice, and depending if acid reflux is confirmed, even medication. Is your baby really cranky? Acid reflux is often confused with colic. Mayber run it by your ped doc and try the switch.
Good luck!!

you might want to read more about some hormone controversies about soy formula, but ofcourse, it might not have just been in a few cases. You could give your daughter less of the formula than she is used to having. Ofcourse, if she takes well to soy, fine.
