.avi files is very close to dvd quality
Like DVDs, AVI files support multiple audio and video streams
You'll need divX to view .avi files
http://divx.com/

.mpg .mpeg files can be played with windows media player
.mov files you'll need quiktime player

For burning software you can try BurnRight CD & DVD

BurnRight is recomended because it's free, work perfectly well as i'm using it for over a year and burn over hundred cd, and it need only 687.76KB to download and install

Well, AVI, MP4 and MOV are files that are actually Video File extensions. Mpg and Mpeg are the same thing. Some give better quality than others depending the resolution you have it in. You can use nero to burn a movie if you want, or you can use others like SONIC to burn it.

The type of file to download depends upon which files your movie burning software can handle. Nero makes several good software programs. Just go to www.nero.com to see their products. Pinnacle also makes good software. Go to www.pinnaclce.com Many computers come with PinnacleStudio 7 already installed. If you are running Windows XP, you probably have the Windows Movie Maker on your hard drive.

Ma'am, whatever format you download in, you'll need to convert the files to .dat or .vob files for CD and DVD respectively.

The CD/DVD writer will have come with free bundled conversion software that will help you do this.

Please contact the Vendor who sold you the Writer for more details.

Have a nice day.

Out of convenience I favor LimeWire, or perhaps a loose one said as FrostWire, it really is an similar, yet swifter and bigger. besides the undeniable fact that, both one among them have a danger for infecting your laptop with viruses. the finest ingredient is to purchase song from iTunes or something similar. So i propose FrostWire or iTunes save

Don't use Lime Wire!!! I know there are others out there who swear it is a great program, but in my experience, it will do nothing but mess your computer up!!! Maybe 4.0 is different or better (?) but I doubt it....
