Nail polish remover (not the non-acetone kind), or acetone, is a nail polish thinner. I don't know if the product your talking about is just nail polish remover, but most likely it is. Just use a couple of drops at first, like maybe 1/2 of a teaspoon, close the cap, and shake it for a minute or so. Check it. If it's still dry/lumpy, put a bit more in. Remember, you can always add, but you can't take it out, so it's better to start with a couple drops. If you use the non-acetone kind (and it will say that on the bottle), like the ones that are used for artificial nails, it will ruin your nailpolish, so don't forget to use real acetone.

Nail polish thinner help thining the polish that you haven't used. It is not the same as polish remover. It doesn't cost much around $3-5 at the most. It lasted you a long time. I bought one about 2 yrs ago and still using it. All you need is just add a few drop in your nail polish and shake it up and it's ready to be use again. Good product to have in your house.

Yes, it's the same thing... I usually put nail polish remover in a cotton ball just enough to dampen the surface of the cotton. Then i rub it in my nails. At times, I usually put more because the nail polish is so hard to remove. When your cotton is already filled with nail polished 'removed', Use another cotton and continue with your other nails. It is easer to change cotton balls once they're filled with nail polish as it effectively removes it better than the used one.Good luck!... :)

you can use a nail polish remover or acetone in place of the thinner but acetone is more volatile than the thinner so after some time of exposing it into air, your polish will become thicker and harder to apply so i suggest you buy the real thinner. just put a few drops and shake well.

No, they're not the same thing.
Nail polish remover is acetone (or an equivalent for the non-acetone). Nail polish thinner is Xylene.

no they are not the same thing -- but for those of us who always look for alternative ways to utilize a product -- you can add a few drops of polish remover to any of your polish bottles to extend the life.

Bug spray. It REALLY does work. Just use like "Oust!" or whatever, but it can be drugstore brand, it doesn't matter whatever you have. Maybe put extra coats on so the polish will become chippy, and you can just peel it off.
