You can eat at a nice restaurant in Hermosa beach, Cheesecake Factory and take a romantic stroll through the pier.
You can go to Pasadena and there are a variety of restaurants and you can also walk around.
Santa Monica is also a good place to eat and walk at the beach.
Long Beach too, or you can eat at different restaurants, take a walk on the beach and also get on the ferris wheel.

There's a tiny Italian restaurant in Santa Monica called La Botte. It's really nice and a lot of celebrities go there too! Also, it's right next to the third street promenade so you guys can stroll around after dinner! Their website is www.labottesantamonica.com

Griffith Observatory! It's really cool, just to be outside under the stars.. It recently just re-opened after 5 whole years. Descanso Gardens in La Crescenta is supposed to be nice too, very peaceful and romantic. Why not try a picnic that you packed yourself? If you're looking for something romantic, you should try a place where there aren't a ton of people. Have fun!

Yamashiro in Hollywood is a perfect date spot...very romantic. There's a really good view of LA so try and go around sunset. After dinner, you can drive down to Hollywood and Highland for a drinky. A little pricey, but if you're celebrating something special, it'll be worth it.

The Getty Center has a great view of L.A., as well as of the gardens and the architecture. The Restaurant at the Getty Center (the formal, sit-down place) is nice, too.
