they back a republican politician.. I just don't understand how they dont realize that all repub politicians are just trying to see how much influence and power the can obtain? Or do they realize is? I believe that they do.

If you think they look at the voters as pawns in their game of life, I think you are right. They dont give a sh it about the voter. Both parties will use you if u let them. You only have 2 parties to choose from & they are basically the same. You have to develope and work towards having a 3rd party that will keep the others honest.There really is an alternative.
Democracy is nothing more than a beautiful concept that everyone in the world should be entitled to. However, it has one major flaw: It is the only door to capitalism.
Capitalism, and the human greed it fosters, is the terminal cancer that eventually consumes and destroys true democracy. People eventually become enraged at being raped by the rich and privileged, and rise up and revolt, and dictatorial government is the result.
The prime example of this simple fact is the wanton destruction of personal freedoms; the rape, murder, pillaging and occupation of other nations for their natural resources. This is the United States of America.
The real tragedy of all this is that despots like George W. Bush claim they are doing this to preserve democracy in the U.S. The fact is Americans lost their democracy the day he became president. There is a way to preserve personal freedoms and
democracy; it is called social democracy. Social democracy allows everyone to benefit, not just the wealthy. Social democracy is not communism.
Anyway, it's up to the people to make the change. It's up to YOU. Good luck

I read a survery. The republican party has more constituents who are wealthy than the democrats. The rep. party is for business; the dems for the middle class & poor.
By the way, I'm a dem. I began voting during Eisenhower's administration. I don't recall any republican administration being as greedy for money & power as this administration beginning with many of the rep. in the house/senate right up to the President. I don't think most repub. care or they don't keep themselves informed about what's going on in their own party.
Bush & the repub. pushed for tax bill reducing considerably taxes for the rich & screwing the middle class. Our federal exemption amt is scheduled, beginning with our next tax returns, to be reduced. This means we will be paying more in taxes.

I started two different businesses by myself, without governments help. Now that they are profitable why should I have to pay more than the average American in taxes? To pay for things that I don't agree with such as embryonic stem cell research, welfare (including corporate), aid to foreign countries. I don't believe in gay marriage or giving special benefits to anyone because of race.
I just don't understand how they dont realize that all Democrat politicians are just trying to see how much influence and power the can obtain? By making an election about getting out of Iraq and then when elected say no we just wanted to be in the decision making. Is that what you voted for? No you don't care about issues, you just voted against Bush!

Can you prove that? Cite sources? Anything? I think you are probably a young kid just getting interested in politics and that is great! But make sure to do your research if you are going to make sweeping statements like that.
