I am just really impatient. I am not looking for answers from people telling me to call the doc....i just want some answers from experienced moms. Just wondering what to expect.
I think I lost my plug in the shower yesterday, i had a handful of mucus discharge, but it wasnt pink, or bloody. I was induced with my other 2 pregancies...so they were scheduled... this one, i am feeling the cramps, lost the plug ( i think) and i just want this pregnancy over. I am going nuts not knowing the exact time to expect this baby ( im a "planner") so i was just wondering from other woman, what could i expect....is labor next...or should i just relax...will it be a few more weeks?
i should tell you i am 2 cm dilated, 3rd baby in 3 years...37 weeks pregnant
AGAIN....no smart *** answers please..

Hopefully it won't be too long...women can go into labor within the day but some can even regenerate their mucus plug and lose it again (sorry). Also you may have been 2 cm for a while if you weren't checked before this. Remember cervical exams when you're not in labor don't tell you when or how long the labor will be. I hope for your sake you do go into labor soon since you sound uncomfortable. Even though it's hard, try to relax...once that baby is ready, he or she will come. Also if you're not being induced this time you should expect a little easier delivery :)

I think you could be getting very close, so make sure you have your labor bag ready and close by!
Some women go as soon as two days after, some women go a few weeks after. So since this is your first non-induced pregnancy, keep a good eye on your contractions, braxton hicks as well, and watch for any discharge changes. If it becomes VERY watery and feels like you keep peeing your pants, or if you just have a big gush of warm fluid coming out, then you are in labor.
Girl - I wish you the best of luck and congrats on your baby coming in the near future! I wish you the best non-induced labor experience!

It sounds like you've lost your plug. When I lost mine, it looked exactly like a giant wad of Elmer's Rubber Cement glue. I'm not kidding!
Anyway, I lost my mucus plug on a Tuesday night and went into labor on Thursday morning. Had my baby by Thursday night!
The text book answer about losing your plug is that you'll go into labor within the next 7 days.
Personally, if you lost your plug, cramping, and already dilated-- it'll probably be within the next 3 days.
So get some sleep!! Get a pedicure if you're having a hard time waiting. (It helped me feel somewhat beautiful after labor & delivery!) Relax-- But, mainly, get some sleep so you have energy when you do go into labor.
Good luck!

Well this is my second pregnancy in 2 years, so I totally understand. I would say that you should definitely be prepared for active labor as it could pick up at any time. But as we all know babies come when they are good and ready so the best thing to do would be to try and rest as much as possible because delivery is really exhausting and you won't be sleeping for the next several weeks if you are anything like me.
But walking is a good way of helping the contractions to start up. If you have any bleeding or spotting then it's time to head to the hospital without delay. I know it's rough now but you'll be fine and just have to wait it out... And also if you are having irregular contractions then that could be harmful too, so you should be in contact with your doctor. Good luck mommy!

I think you can expect the baby soon but not necessarily too soon. I was dilated to 2 cm and lost my plug in large pieces and it still took almost 2 weeks for baby to come, he was born 3 days before his due date. That was baby # 3, baby # 4 I lost the plug in much smaller pieces and she was born 10 days before her due date, the day before she was born I was 2 cm dilated and had been since the week before - I thought I was in for the long haul with her. I went out the next day and was in Ikea walking around, then the mall for another 3 hours and she was born the next afternoon, 2 days after I thought she was nowhere near ready. Baby # 2 I lost all of the plug while in labor and with baby # 1 the plug was forced out when my water broke, about an hour before he was born. My kids were a little farther apart than yours so its hard for me to say when you will deliver - if I learned anything at all with my babies it's that you can expect your pregnancy and delivery to be different from one kid to the next. Good luck!!

Labor is on the way!
I went into labor the day my Dr popped my plug on my last OB visit. I went to visit that morning, had my exam, walked around the mall for some hours with my sister afterwards, by that evening I was cramping and by 4:49 am the next morn my daughter was in the world!
Be blessed and Pushhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! : )

Since your late in your pregnancy it probably means that your close to your due date and everything should hopefully go as smoothly as it can.
I've lost my mucus plug with both my sons fairly early in both pregnancy's.
Should it happen early in the pregnancy.
Expect to be put on bed rest and most likely you will have a C-section so you might want to plan a date for that.
All and all it was an annoyance for me but I followed my doctors advise and both my sons are alive today so its not the worst thing that could happen to you.
I hope this answer was what you were looking for.

Many people say within 3 weeks you go into labor, but my OB always told me that 90% of women go into labor within 3 days.
