Why do all think of the USA as the country in question? Italy is a democratic country, that has had a communist party lead the nation...

As long as the country remains free and subject to the rule of law, it is still a democracy even if a Communist Party is in power. That is only the governing party, who are still subject to the (usually constituionally-based) system of governance in place unless there is constitutional change or some sort of revolution.

The United States, for instance, doesn't actually shift between being a Republic and a Democracy depending on the name of the party in power. It has been both since 1776. Likewise, France or Italy don't cease to be democracies when their Communist Parties win votes.

A democracy. There are 2 sorts of communist party interior the international. those that are party dictatorships (e.g. the Soviet Union, China and Cuba) and those that are democratic like the communist events of India and western Europe. The communist party of India often wins elections in distinctive Indian states, yet they nevertheless have many different events interior the state parliament and have huge-unfold elections.

Yes and no. What does it mean for a country to "be Communist"? It could mean a complete restructuring of the entire government. Or it could mean simply that it is (currently) being governed using Communist principles.

A Communist candidate could campaign and win elections using Communist ideals, but still not restructure the government (it's elections, it's government departments).

When communists win in a democratic country, they will change the country into the system that they want - communism.

no because our constitution doesnt allow a communist regime, even if it follows marxist theory (not possible), to be able to pass any of their stands on how they think the country should be run. they may have their own communist ideas and agendas but it still has to pass through the house and so forth so nothing would get accomplished. not to mention the house and senate and state reps and so forth arent goin to be communist also. besides america wouldnt elect a communist party they are just there to be able to say they have their own political party but they have no real emphesis on voting matters.

so to answer ur question we would still be a democracy (even tho america isnt a real democracy)

Communist in a democratic country? You need a leader with absolute power to have a communist country and therefore would not be democratic country.

Our country will never be communist! Thank God for that! I hope you are not calling democrats communist. Because if you are, you are only insulting your own intelligence.

Not unless they can change the constitution of that country. Whatever the political leanings of the leader, the style of government is still based on the constitution.
