The Dec 21 2012 event is not happening at 11:11.
It's happening at dawn (7:14 a.m.). This is a fact because it's an astronomical alignment between the rising sun and the milky way at DAWN, so 11:11 has NOTHING to do with it.
BTW, the Mayan calendar also doesn't END on that day. It's the first day of the 13th Baktun.
The linked article makes NO reference to 2012 or 11:11 either.

Some days always have meaning.

Some of you might be aware of the Mayan Calendar ending on this date at that time during the winter equinox. I by no means follow the Mayans, but the number 11:11 for the Winter Solstice is intriguing
12-21-2012 at 11:11 (111x11=1221)

the Winter Solstice will occur at 11:11 am Universal Time on December 21, 2012. But this is NOT the most important "event" of that day concerning "TIME", and no one (except me) is talking about it yet. It has to do with the 'Message of The Sphinx' with the Sphinx being a type of "clock" telling the "First Time" and the "Last Time." And the "Last Time" will occur that day at 11:11 pm Cairo/Giza time - or 9:11 pm Universal Time. The fact that the Winter Solstice occurs that day at 11:11 am locks the year 2012 into place.

I dont know, but i see 11:11 quite alot these days and over the past 2 years while i have been seeking some truth.
In regards to 2012 i read this writing from a guy who has been studying it and they found out that during this time or around the date of 21st Dec 2012 give or take a day or 2 that the Earth apparently will enter the dark cleft of the Milky Way in Sagittarius (which is the exact centre of the Milky Way, the Galactic Equator).
Anyway here is the webpage to have a read if you wish http://www.levity.com/eschaton/Why2012.html
They show some charts ect.. but make of it what you will.

It's the day the Mayan calendar ends. But here's the way you need to deal with it: Who would you say has lived the fuller life? The guy who lives out the next 6 years worried about whether or not everything is going to end on that date - or the guy who lives out the next 6 years just as if it's just going to be another date and all will be normal. "get busy livin' - or get busy dyin'" It's up to you, pal.

No, it will be time when time is called. Not any one knows the time, not even the Son "Rev". Be patient and keep watch. You will know the shepherds voice.
